Benefit Counselors are available in our resource center to help walk you through your new benefit options.
As a City of Charlotte new hire, you have 5 days from your date of hire to enroll in benefits. With this
timeline, it is best practice for you to schedule
your appointment with a Benefit Counselor as soon
as possible after your
first day of work.
Please note that if you are adding dependents to your plans, please be sure to have full names, birth
dates, and Social Security numbers with you
at time of enrollment. This information is required and
not providing it at
time of enrollment could potentially have impact to your ability to obtain
heath care services should they be needed by you and/or your dependents
in the future.
Typical enrollment sessions are 45 minutes in length so please make sure that you have blocked off the
time and are prepared 5 minutes in advance
of the call start time. Please make sure that you are
able to take the call in
an area free of outside noise and distractions.
